// the kit

A pocket design system.

Everything the SLAPZ site runs on, pulled into two CSS files and a page you can read in five minutes. Palette, the wordmark, the three strain schemes, the type stack, the components, and the voice. Copy the css folder, link the fonts, start composing.

Two premium lanes, one house. The house is cream and acid. Each strain wears its own pack color. Loud is the accent, restraint is the baseline.

The wordmark

bowlby one · acid z · upright

SLAP plus an acid Z. The Z is the signature and it is a color accent only. Bowlby One is the face, one weight, tight tracking, so the mark reads as one object. The ink version lives on cream, the cream version on ink. All four SVGs in logos/ are outlined paths, so they render with no font installed.

No rotated or skewed Z. The tilt was retired on 2026-04-29. It read as borrowed.

No italics, no outline stroke, no drop shadow, no second color on the letters. The stamp is the only tilted object in the system.

House palette

Cream paper is the base, ink carries the type, acid yellow is the one decorative color. Sodium orange is the second punch and shows up once per screen at most. Everything else is a neutral.

Strain schemes

The house stays cream and acid. Each strain gets its own color on the pack, the plate, and its page. Palettes were pulled from the pack art. Set data-scheme on a wrapper and every token inside re-reads. Copy carries the real cultivar names.

Front. Strain color floods the pack. House wordmark in ink with the acid Z, strain name under it in Bowlby One. Number, weight, and class in mono at the corners. Spectrum strip at the foot.

Back. Lineage, terps, the effect line, the Michigan compliance block, the license number, the batch and harvest date in mono.

The stand-up mylar is the only surface where the wordmark sits in ink on a strain color instead of on cream or ink. Keep the Z acid there too.

Voice

The brand voice is the slang. Slaps is the verb and the adjective, use it generously. Talk to the reader as "you". Lead with the shelf and the scene the reader already knows, bring the room in as proof. Take stances. Do not explain cannabis terms.

Sentence case headings. The wordmark and stamps are the only caps.
Plain numerals with units. 3.5 g, 28 percent, drop 01.
Oxford comma, always.
Declarative verbs. We built, we run, we cut.
Scarcity as a fact. "Gone until Drop 02."
Scene vernacular. The room, the cure, the bench, pop a lid, mid, loud.

Body copy, on register

You already know the bag that fell off. Loud on the shelf, mid in the jar, and the cure cut a week early to hit a ship date.

We run one room in Michigan and it does one thing. Cut on time, dried slow, cured until it is done and not a day before. Drop 01 is three strains in prepack eighths. When it is gone it is gone until Drop 02. Open a bag. You'll know.

Wiring it up

two files, three fonts

Copy css/ and logos/ into the project, link the fonts and the two sheets, put .slapz-page on the body. Everything in the kit is prefixed so it sits beside any other stylesheet.

Source of truth

The site's live tokens are indoor-sites/slapz/src/styles/tokens.css. This kit mirrors them under the --slapz- prefix. When a token changes on the site, change it here in the same commit.
